چکیده
We provide axiomatic characterizations of two natural families of rules for aggregating equivalence relations: the family of join aggregators and the family of meet aggregators. The central conditions in these characterizations are two separability axioms. Disjunctive separability, neutrality, and unanimity characterize the family of join aggregators. On the other hand, conjunctive separability and unanimity characterize the family of meet aggregators. We show another characterization of the family of meet aggregators using conjunctive separability and two Pareto axioms, Pareto+ and Pareto−. If we drop Pareto−, then conjunctive separability and Pareto+ characterize the family of meet aggregators along with a trivial aggregator. ∗Authors are listed alphabetically. متن کاملFUZZY SUBGROUPS AND CERTAIN EQUIVALENCE RELATIONS
In this paper, we study an equivalence relation on the set of fuzzysubgroups of an arbitrary group G and give four equivalent conditions each ofwhich characterizes this relation. We demonstrate that with this equivalencerelation each equivalence class constitutes a lattice under the ordering of fuzzy setinclusion. Moreover, we study the behavior of these equivalence classes under theaction of a...
متن کاملWeak Separability Testing And Estimation Of Selected Food Commodities Demand System In Urban Households Of Iran (Case Study of: Citrus Fruits, Cucurbits and Vegetables)
The separability of consumer desires is a necessary and sufficient condition for multi-stage budgeting and Collectivization is consistent of commodity where costs are allocated between edible groups using price indices and intergroup allocations are made independently of other groups. Given the high share of Citrus fruits, Cucurbits and vegetables types (29/5% percent of household food and beve...
متن کاملA Flexible Multistage Demand System Based on Indirect Separability
The notion of indirect separability is exploited to derive a new multistage demand system. The model allows a consistent parameterization of demand relations at various budgeting stages and it fulfills the requirement of flexibility while satisfying separability globally. Two propositions are derived to characterize flexible and separable functional forms, which lead to the specification of a f...
متن کاملOn certain semigroups of transformations that preserve double direction equivalence
Let TX be the full transformation semigroups on the set X. For an equivalence E on X, let TE(X) = {α ∈ TX : ∀(x, y) ∈ E ⇔ (xα, yα) ∈ E}It is known that TE(X) is a subsemigroup of TX. In this paper, we discussthe Green's *-relations, certain *-ideal and certain Rees quotient semigroup for TE(X).
